Both Lakewood Middle School cross country teams won team titles at the Liberty Union Lion Invitational on Saturday.
Rachel Meadows, Addy Pound, and Landry Driskel went 1-2-3 to lead the Lady Lancers to a 32 point win over the next closest team. This was Rachel’s third individual win of the season.
Leigha Davis and Rose Bishoff completed the scoring for the girls; for Rose, it was her first finish in a team scoring spot. Seven of the girls earned the custom shirts that were awarded in place of medals at this meet.
With all five of their scorers finishing in the top ten, the boy’s team won by 45 points over their next nearest competitors.
